Ever since the cash shop was released, the Korean version of Dragonball Online has been somewhat out of beta. Although technically still in beta, players don't have to worry about their characters being deleted once the game hits version 1.0 (current version is 0.90.38). Details have been released about the very first major content patch bringing us closer to that version 1.0.

Updates include:

4th Week of March
- New item mechanics involving binding will be added.
- New crafting recipes will be added
- Crafting materials will drop more often
- Item boxes will now drop crafting materials
- Non-instance/dungeon supers will now drop crafting materials
- Crafting NPCs will now sell some crafting materials
- The "Ultimate" difficulty level on dungeons will be unlocked
- Rare/Legendary items will be available as drops in Ultimate dungeons
- Scouter chips will be sold by NPC merchants

5th Week of March
- Random item options will be added
- Item durability repairs will improve
- Item durability will not decrease as much for a death.

Updates that have been announced and delivered:
- Certain monster's stats will be adjusted.
- New scouter chips will finally drop.
- Maximum level restrictions for level 1-30 quests will be removed.
- Hoi po stones will be obtainable as item drops in "Ultimate" dungeons.

Updates that have also been announced, but have no expected release date:

- The Level cap will increase from 50 to 55.
- Level 50-55 items, monsters, areas, TMQs, and dungeons will be added.
- A pet (mascot) system will be added.
- An auction system will be added in West City.
- A new PvP system will be added.
- Party item drop distribution per item rating options will be available.
- Repeatable quests will be added.

If you want more information about getting into the Korean version of the game, check out the last news post here. And if/when you manage to create an account you can join our private forum for the Korean version (read this post for more information) in which we currently have over 130 players.

Feb 25th Update: Another patch has been announced for February 26th that will allow the Dragonballs needed for both level 40 HTB skills and the Transformations to drop randomly from monsters.

Mar 6th Update: Information about when to expect the first set of updates has been released and the article above has been updated with this information. Items in bold represent new updates that were not originally announced, but were included in the schedule.

Mar 16th Update: The schedule released on March 6th has been tweaked a bit. Most of the updates were pushed back and a few new ones were added. The new ones have been added to the list above and are in bold italics

Repeatable quests, FINALLY!! Hope they give good experience so you can farm them in a group.

The 1-30 level restriction is most likely because of the dragonballs people forgot to get.

The level 55 cap kinda sux, because us Plasma majins get some nice aoe on level 56 :(

I'm kind of interested to see what kind of pets they add. Maybe something like Puar or Oolong?

I think thats something better asked over pms ;)

Urk... please no. As much as I love Puar, I don't want one following me around...unless it doesn't talk and actually has a decent effect.
