I liked how what Kiyza said about Piccolo's parenting on the sidelines during the Gohan vs. Cell fight I mean I think in my opinion that Piccolo is a better parent for Gohan he took him under his wing to train for the saiyans even though he was "evil" at the time. He sacraficed himself to save Gohan in a couple or a lot of dbz movies he practically saved Gohan. Also Piccolo practically thought of trying to fight Cell himself when Cell was beating on Gohan to save his life even though he knew he himself was outmatched and by the time Goku cam around it was too late .Goku is a good parent but I feel he didn't really raise Gohan that much just Piccolo and Chi-Chi.

I'm going to argue about it. The fight is way too long, lacks whatever epicness you think it has, and is literally just 19 episodes/2 volumes of random punches and ki attacks being thrown back and forth along with a planet that takes much longer than it should have to blow up. If it really was 5 minutes, perhaps it would have been enjoyable.

The early Z stuff I wouldn't count so much as parenting, but an unusual case of Stockholm syndrome. (For those who don't know, that's when kidnapped people take a liking to their capturers) Goku, in all honest, isn't a very good parental figure. He places his own personal gain over the safety of his son, and the entire planet for that matter, as shown by the fact he let Vegeta go. Any sensibile parent, or hero for that matter, would have killed him. On top of that, he seems more concerned with Chi-Chi yelling at him after dying than with his only child's safety. At this point in the series, however, Piccolo certainly seems to be acting as a parental figure for Gohan, and clearly much more worried about him than his father.

Thank you very much Kiyza I knew we were on the same page I mean who in their right mind would send their son to go into battle I mean I know Gohan saved the Earth but what if he actually got killed I'm sure if that happened Goku would probably be all sad and Piccolo and Chi-Chi would kill him lol

i dont know about you kiyza but i know many people who would agree with methe problem is you are being too realistic and you are not living a storyclose your eyes,and believe that is possiblethe moment super saiyan appeared after so time was so UNREAL that i was trembling,when i watched it for the first time,i never got that feeling again.

I don't think I'm being too realistic, I just happen to hate that particular fight, and you said there was no arguing that it was awesome. Thus, I feel like I'm supposed to respond with my opinion.

In all honesty, I didn't think the transformation was all that spectacular. Gohan's SSJ 2 transformation was much better in my opinon, especially with Unmei no Hei playing in the background.

The fight was bland, boring, and drawn out. It's just my opinon though, and the opinon of the majority of people with good taste.

I dunno, everyone has their own opinion, like you have said in your statement, and as such, I think the whole introduction to super saiyans when Goku transformed after seeing his friend die/comrade get injured, I personally think the things leading up to his transformation were much more epic, along with the transformation itself having an epic tune playing behind it and the thunder and lightning in the background and then snapping and becoming what was, at the time of introduction known as the Legendary Super Saiyan.

I feel Gohans transformation itself was too drawn out, and the fight was boring as hell and very short once he went SSJ2. I didn't get goosebumps like I did when I saw Goku transform and serve frieza a cup of fiery retribution.

As stated, everyone has their favorite fights though, and mine is still Piccolo Jr. vs Goku.
