I haven't been watching any YouTube videos on the series, but I have been interested in quite some time. I remember when the one for the PS2 came out. There was a commercial for it and I immediatly thought "Is that supposed to be Dragon Ball?" At the time, I had no familliarity with the series, but Toriyama's art style is unmistakable. However, it actually wasn't my love for Dragon Ball that got me in to the series, but rather a positive review from a video game magazine. I'm playing through Dragon Quest IV on my DS at the moment. I have the unusual habit of naming my protaganist after various Dragon Ball characters, this time around, her name is Lunch.

Do any of the DQ Hero's have Canon names? I normally name them "Hero" or "???" just cause of that.

Not that I know of. If they did have canon names, they'd likely default to them.

DQ 3's Class system is odd.I've haven't gotten far but it seems like Party members can become more powerful that the hero and the hero is Loto/Endrick that shouldn't happen.

V is a lot better in my honest opinion. I reccomend you get it. And when IX comes out, I'll be more than happy to join anyone playing on Wi-Fi.
