Starting Saturday at 12PM EST we'll be holding a contest here at DBOCOM. What's the prize you ask? Entry into the next Dragonball Online Beta where you'll get to play the game.

As you may or may not know, we use power levels here to determine the amount a person contributes to our community (read this post for more information). This Saturday (9/26) at 12PM EST everyone's power level will be set to 100 and the race begins. Whoever has the highest power level at the end of the contest will get almost guaranteed access into the next Dragonball Online Beta whether it be a closed beta or an open beta.

We won't have just one winner though. Everyone with an account here will have a chance to win. If you're the 20th highest at the end of the contest you could still get into the beta, it's all based on luck. The chance isn't nearly as good at 20th place as it is at 3nd, 4th, or 5th though; but the opportunity is still there.

So when does this contest end? We don't know. As no information on the next beta has been released yet we can't give an exact date. All we can say is that it will end when the people selected to play the beta have been chosen. The longer this contest goes on the number of possible winners will increase. Therefore, don't think you've missed out if you discover this contest after it started. You'll still have a fair chance to win.

There's only one rule, one simple rule : if you're caught boosting your power level through artificial means you will not be eligible for a prize. So create an account, play by the rule, have fun, and good luck! If this contest goes well I'm probably going to do it for every beta, so stick with us.

Note : Even if you make an attempt to get into the beta on your own you may still enter; though, you will only receive a prize of beta entry if your own attempt fails.

Side note : At the end of the contest all users will have their power levels recalculated and set to what they would have been if I didn't reset them
