If you want to get your signature back to the way it was you can still use gifs in signature backgrounds though. Just set the settings for the background to "top center no-repeat" and then add a transparent png with the same dimensions as the gif so that no text is placed over it (I'm not sure if you can use multiple new lines in a signature, but if you can you could do that instead).

Yeah, I disabled the use of gifs. Was tired of people who fill their signatures with a bunch of large file-sized gifs.
