I'd really like for you to point out where I said I think Goku is a god.

I'd also like for you to link me to the article that confirms Goku is dead in DBO, since you claimed him to be a few posts ago...

uh hes dead.

EDIT: I saved you the trouble of having to answer the first question.

It has nothing to do with Goku being some "almighty savior". If anything, he was probably one of my least favorite characters.

I'm sure Goku is dead, however alive in otherworld with his family. :P

I do.

Two 38's and a 33, and I haven't seen or heard anything about Goku being dead in the main timeline of DBO (not like I would be able to anyway even if I did play the game, since I don't speak/read Korean).

I'm sure Goku is dead, however alive in otherworld with his family. :P

I don't doubt the possibility that he might be dead. I just haven't seen anything that completely confirms it.

Uh no. The fact that the Old Kai gave his life to Goku after proclaiming he had a thousand years worth of life left is evidence as well.

Not really. He uses his old age as the reason why he should be the one giving up his life instead of the Supreme Kai or Kibito (at least that's how the conversation goes in the anime).

Also, the problem with your theory is that the Old Kai would cease being a Kai himself after giving Goku his life, would he not?...

The Old Kai was giving Goku his life, not his ability to be a Kai...

If the Old Kai lost his life as a result of giving it to Goku, then wouldn't Goku becoming a Kai show that the Old Kai gave his Kai-ship to Goku as well?...

More assumptions. There are no rules set by the canon for a life swapping situation like this so anything goes really. As I've already said, you use this absence of rules to create your own rules just as I do. Goku becoming a Kai is still just as possibile as Goku getting Kai's 1000 years.

But you're making up the rule that when the Old Kai gives Goku his life, it would only give him life and not the years attached to it.

IIRC I've really yet to say anything about what outcomes if any there would be from this Goku/Old Kai event.

You don't seem to understand what I'm even arguing. I'm not arguing that what you said didn't happen (as we've already clarified that I cant). I'm arguing that what you said should not be taken seriously in a Dragonball discussion when canon is involved as doing so would open the gates to countless other crazy ideas that can't be proven or dis-proven.

My example of Goku becoming a Kai is anything but trivial as it's really the heart of my argument. It doesn't need to be Goku becoming a Kai though, it could be literally anything anyone can come up with that doesn't contradict the canon. I just use the Goku becoming Kai example because it's very similar to your theory.
