Though the title is misleading, but it is kinda true. I understand why they don't want people to say each other name in game. But I posted a thread 1day ago about a way to help stop Scamming and so people know who is scamming but it got deleted.

Without a reason it just got deleted. No PM in my mail. It just got deleted.

If this is how Dragonball Online community is run then it isn't what i thought it was.

Community is where people help each other, You guys can't even put in a effort to prevent scammer and ways to avoid bugger like plate bug etc.

No one is doing anything so it will keep happening you guys say it not possible to stop them, which let them continue. When USA Version comes out if it even comes out. And this is the crowd of people thats going be in USA Version then i'm am just disappointed.

Theres no reason people can't play there favorite game without worry about scammer, noobs kid,bug abuser etc.

I've said this before and i will say it again.

Its Impossible yes to stop Scammers because we aren't taiwan.
BUT IT ISN'T impossible to try to make it harder for them. Reporting the character who did it, reporting characters who got scam.

When someone scam a high lvl character there going to do 2 things.

Sell it or Play it.

1. IF they sell it, they next person whos on it will be let known its a account that got scam out of, Then he can inform us who sold it to him and maybe take him of the list cause it isn't his fault for buying if he didn't know.

2.Playing it, if they play on it why let them play. When everyone can kick them from there guild, blacklist them and let it be known that this guy cheat and steals. Then most likely in will not play the game.

Scammer have push me to the point where i can't enjoy DBO. I log into my Lv 69 Shadowknight account and just shake my head.

You guys never seen a pro scammer. That why scamming can happen to anyone, Let me give you a example.

I play a Game called S.U.N Online (Soul of the ulitmate Nation) I was a casher, i had the best gear i had the highiest level, I had this awesome Guild althrough that my friend "Lucifer" went through it with me. He had 3 guild under him. So we merge into a big ass guild. we've played together for over 9months and we even made a site for our guild. But randomly one day, he ask me to come over to the armor smite. He said "Let me upgrade your armor for you" (all armor are tradable". So I said sure i gave him my armor. and that was it he scam me.
ALL THAT TIME JUST FOR ONE SCAM, He been working me through the whole thing, waiting till i got big etc.

So I had other armor "But they were weak" I had alot of in game currency i could of probably bought another.

But guess what? That one guy ruin the whole game for me i left and since this day i never played S.U.N Again.

You guys may think you will never get scam, It may be so. You may be smarter then the rest of us. But when that day come when you somehow gets scam out of maybe a small item. You know theres a place where you can inform others of this person. To make sure this don't happened to someone else.

You can see what i am trying to do. I just want the next person to play this game..without worrying about bug abuser and scammer. And inform them so it doesn't happened to them.

-And if this thread gets deleted aswell, i'm going to give up on this community

The reason why it got deleted was because it broke 2 rules.

1. You can't advertise links.
2. You can't use IGN for scammers.

The reason for this is because the fact of the drama. If you get a glimpse of a scammer thread that has been around a while before we delete it, you can see huge drama and it's just not worth it.

For the instance of the thread for your site particularly, most people would be complaining in that thread.

You Can't Advertise link, But its not a advertisement. Its a awareness site, I'm not trying to get money etc, this is an idea to help you guys.

And I seen those thread, The reason it had drama is because the MOD Didn't handle the staution, thats there job. And i agree its not worth agruing about it. but it is worth it to let people know about who did it, so we can avoid them.

Keep in mind that Moderators are not paid for their services. They have no job per se, merely things that they do to help the community. Posting up anything with IGNs is against forum rules (unless it's a screenshot of yourself), because of the fact that people may be offended by what they find themselves in.

I don't really see what the problem is with scamming. If you're too trusting or too dumb and don't realize that giving someone your items/in-game currency for nothing is generally a bad idea, then you are mostly to blame for what happens after

I'm sorry to but in , but if this would of been a paid game like wow and if we would of had english support, or if we all woud of been from korea/taiwan/hong kong , we could of just reported them and bam problem solved , not sure how effective reporting them is right now.

Making threads on a forum about a certain scammer just seems pointless to me , not everyone reads this forum , and those who read it just need to know one thing , don't give people stuff and expect to get it back doh

IMO the no ingame names rule is a good one , cause there is a lot of rivalry in this game , many being very childish , because umm they are children :) , and there's no way of a moderator knowing if a scammer report is real or just a stupid prank , or an attempt to do harm to another player.

Doesn't matter if it's for money or not but this reason isn't really why your thread got deleted.

Which is better:

1. Delete 100s of posts and ban 60+ members
2. Delete the thread

When these threads come up, it can cause and usually does cause a discussion where everyone turns into a rampaging monster and flames like crazy.

You can however report these people to Wasabii. You would need to translate it but it is possible. You can also make a guide under the TW/HK forum telling others how to report scammers.

If you want to write up a guide containing a list of common scams, how to identify/avoid them, and some do's and don'ts, then you can do that. Providing a list of known scammers is not a substitute for information like that, nor is it a necessary addition.

2.Playing it, if they play on it why let them play. When everyone can kick them from there guild, blacklist them and let it be known that this guy cheat and steals. Then most likely in will not play the game.

The better and quicker course of action in a case like this would be to let people know in-game.

If it's really necessary to post a thread about it, there's no rules against that. Of course, assuming that the only purpose of the thread is about letting people know that someone isn't who they appear to be, and not about the person who's playing on the account.

Let me tell you this.

I have been playing DBO Taiwan server 2 for over 1 year (1 year and 3 months to be exact) and I have never been scammed. Why? Because I do not trust people with anything. Passwords is private, and the number 1 rule people should know on the internet is to never give out your password. It's not that DBOcom doesn't support scamming - when it's more of a case that it should be common sense.

When it comes to a case of someone being scammed, its not because we are "foreigners" and wasabii don't listen to our reports, they do not listen to ANYONE including the Taiwans themselves period.

With every MMO scamming goes both ways. Yes it is the scammer(s) fault for tricking innocent players but it also is the players fault for not being responsible enough. I see it happen thousands of times where someone was hacked/scammed/tricked and in most cases the player gave their consent to the scammer. Here is a few points:

1. By giving out your password because you want to sell an account, that is giving your consent.
2. By accepting the "confirm button" on the trade window, that means that you agree to what the other player is trading you.

In the example you said about S.U.N, I'm sorry to hear you got scammed and all, but to be blunt you gave him the amour. Your believed in him as a "friend" and he threw it back in your face. Welcome to the internet. MMOs are filled with trolls, people pretending to be girls, the list goes on. At the end of the day people usually care about themselves.

Its for the reasons above is why I skype with the people I play with every day, so I know who I'm talking to, and who is behind the keyboard. I'm confident to say I trust everyone in my skype group who I play DBO with and I think friendships stretched beyond DBO.

As Citrinate said, your welcome to make a thread/guide to spread awareness. I will even sticky the guide for you. Just even with all the guides/threads made, there will always be someone who will still be "scammed" because we cannot prevent it, and wasabii do not do anything about reports. This is due to the type of service that a f2p MMO offers. Wasabii themselves should hire more G.Ms and what not, because from my 1 year and 3 months in playing the game I have never once come across a G.M.
