That's what they suggested earlier Bandu, only OP decided to leave the site because he couldn't get his way. If you'd like to do it, I'm sure that you could request a sticky for it so that others could use it. I'd offer to do it myself, but I'm almost 100% positive I'd keep coming back to the issue of "If you allow it to happen, then you have no one to blame but yourself" and wouldn't really get much else said with it

+1. Scamming is an inevitable part of any MMO. New players are being scammed everyday and since we are playing a foreign game, it's even harder to report such issues to the creators. Even if DBO had a monthly subscription, you would still get people trying to scam one another. It's a vicious cycle and cannot be stopped.

My advice, which Tempest touched on, don't get yourself involved in those situations. If you sell a red dragon pet for 100k, you've got no one else but yourself to blame. Each player is responsible for their own well-being in game (to an extent, a guild could help combat such issues).

In theory, you want to buy some good equipment? Use the AH.

Let me tell you this.

I have been playing DBO Taiwan server 2 for over 1 year (1 year and 3 months to be exact) and I have never been scammed. Why? Because I do not trust people with anything. Passwords is private, and the number 1 rule people should know on the internet is to never give out your password. It's not that DBOcom doesn't support scamming - when it's more of a case that it should be common sense.

When it comes to a case of someone being scammed, its not because we are "foreigners" and wasabii don't listen to our reports, they do not listen to ANYONE including the Taiwans themselves period.

With every MMO scamming goes both ways. Yes it is the scammer(s) fault for tricking innocent players but it also is the players fault for not being responsible enough. I see it happen thousands of times where someone was hacked/scammed/tricked and in most cases the player gave their consent to the scammer. Here is a few points:

1. By giving out your password because you want to sell an account, that is giving your consent.
2. By accepting the "confirm button" on the trade window, that means that you agree to what the other player is trading you.

In the example you said about S.U.N, I'm sorry to hear you got scammed and all, but to be blunt you gave him the amour. Your believed in him as a "friend" and he threw it back in your face. Welcome to the internet. MMOs are filled with trolls, people pretending to be girls, the list goes on. At the end of the day people usually care about themselves.

Its for the reasons above is why I skype with the people I play with every day, so I know who I'm talking to, and who is behind the keyboard. I'm confident to say I trust everyone in my skype group who I play DBO with and I think friendships stretched beyond DBO.

As Citrinate said, your welcome to make a thread/guide to spread awareness. I will even sticky the guide for you. Just even with all the guides/threads made, there will always be someone who will still be "scammed" because we cannot prevent it, and wasabii do not do anything about reports. This is due to the type of service that a f2p MMO offers. Wasabii themselves should hire more G.Ms and what not, because from my 1 year and 3 months in playing the game I have never once come across a G.M.

I will start... When i started to play this game i got scammed in the 1st month. I was trying to get a few pets from pet machine. I got 2 red dragons. i used one as my pet. One guy asked me where i got that dragon i told that i got 2 of them from pet machine. He told me that he will give me 100k zeni for that, but it was worth much more. Well i applied and u can say i got nothing -.-

When I played another MMO in the past, a similar situation happened to me. I was once selling a rare outfit that I stumbled upon, for around 2mil currency in that game, just to find out it was worth much much more. Coming out of that situation however, I hardly blame the other guy for making such a low offer, I blame myself more so for accepting his offer.
