Guys does Funi or Japanese names really matter in a game like this? Wether it says frieza or freeza is such an insignificant thing you guys are getting worked up about for nothing. Either names should be fine, its very easy to tell what is being talked about. If I'm playing a dark warrior and it says special beam cannon instead of the Japanese name for it... It really doesn't matter at all. Let's just get this **** translated into words we can understand so we can all enjoy a game and knows what is going on

The English Patch I release will use the Funimation translations, which are the translations I've always used for this site.
The translations are going to be stored in text files just like the current Language Patcher does, but I plan to allow for at least 3 different tiers of translation files: translations, alternate_translations, and prefered_translations. These files will allow users to set the priority of certain translations, and the relation between them is as follows:
prefered_translations > translations > alternate_translations
The only file I'm going to distribute will be "translations", which is everything that's been submitted through the translation tool. This file will be regularly updated as new translations are submitted.
The prefered_translations file would be something that users who don't want Funimation translations can use. Instead of going through and altering the lines of the "translations" file every time there's a release, you simply put them in here.
A translation from the alternate_translations file will only be used for a line of text if there's no translation for that line in any of the other 2 files. I imagine something like this being used for automatic translations, by people who would still prefer a bad Google translation over Korean or Chinese.

Why does everyone keep asking this? It will be awhile, there is tons of stuff to translate. Think about every mob, every thing every NPC says. It is a very long process, so just be patient guys. It will come when it is ready. Be happy that it is coming at all, and you are not stuck reading the Chinese characters forever.
