Each mob has to be translated, each quest needs to be translated (and being its a quest grind game, there are a load of quests furthermore each starter map also has a load of quests). ofc the dungeons of tmq's and ud's etc. Item names, attributes and so on. with most people saying "oh i want to be in it, let me join the page i want to be a part!!" but not even knowing what they are asking for.

(and this is true because you see each page and sometimes more than once random new people on forums wish to join the page but dont know whats going on or will just google translate which makes no sense)....

Following on from that point; you cannot just translate with programs as it will be wrong and make no sense, you need to rely mainly on people who know both languages who can accurately create a translation that makes sense. Also you see with the translation page there are discussions on what mobs should be named as such as saibamen or "cultivated person" http://www.dbocom.com/forum/showthre...208#post275208 so discussions are already ongoing as what name sounds better and what people should decide what mobs should be called.

Completely agree

You can't force people to translate, most people would rather give a good translation than a bad one, such as myself. If that takes more time then I'm sure It's worth the wait. Do you want a half baked patch like that of wasabii rushing to give us a patch? or a patch that takes forever but does what its supposed to do?

This is EXACTLY like cooking, it needs to be done slow, steady, and right!

Now i dont wanna force people to translate but I do want to encourage people to give it a try, seeing that most people who dont know either language can still figure out stuff with translation programs and online dictionary.

I would actually rather a half baked patch of everything, aslong as it sorta makes sense to a degree, so that we could have a rough version to start off with, gives us tons more english while playing the game, and also we can see where all of the mis translations are and fix them easily.

Anyone else notce/think/ realise that soon the translations will come to a point where you actually do need to know both of the languages though. At that point rate of translations will drop dramatically, and this project will be a lot slower.

Personally, i hate half assing things, if i do something, i want to do it all.
I'm sure there wont ever be a point where knowledge of both languages are needed, if there is, i'm sure there are others like me that can handle both at a sufficient level.

as long as the ones ho know how to translate it to enlgish in the comunity iy wont take that much time i suposse if we do organize ourselves for example Team 1 translates the quests Team 2 translates the mob name Team 3 translates the skill names and weapon status etc etc....

This idea is good, Cinitrate to make sure we don't waste time on doubling up translations you should assign people the stuff to translate, we cant just have people translating stuff at random, if we organize this better everything will be done faster and more efficiently

Currently the system of translating stuff at random actually works better. The translations have to be approved. This makes sure that they are legit.

With the current system, people can look at all the text and translate the bits and pieces they know instead of just looking at one part and might not know what any of it means.

I won't be surprised if Cit made it that on the "Now Loading screen" he puts "CITRINITE IS KING!" all over it
