You can get the same star dragonball if one drops and the other one is from an event. We already have a few threads on this, please search next time. You have to throw one of the dragonballs because you may have a max of 7 in your inventory and they all have to be different stars for the wish to work.

swordsman45 you are incorrect, you don't need to throw that dragonball away, you can use it still.

If you think smart then dont throw it away and wait for the event is done then try to get the 6 db you are left with from the mob then you would get 2 wishes easy and fast lol

No you can't. You need 7 different star dragonballs. After you have 7 dragonballs in your inventory, the next ones are the weird craft ones that do nothing. If you look back on another forum someone posted many screenshots of having 7 dragonballs in their inventory, some being the same stars. The next ones they picked up were craft ones and when they tried to make a wish with the same star balls, it gave them an error and wouldn't let them.

EDIT: Actually, wait until the event is over. You can have more than 7 dragonballs in your inventory if you get them from the event. After you have 7 in your inventory, the only way you can get them is from the event. They will turn into crafting items if you pick them up from mobs. You might get lucky and get extras with the crafting event that you have enough to make a wish.

Depending on the situation, your wrong swordsman45. If you, like Mare994 have 2 x 1star DB's in your inventory, you can go out and claim the remaining 6 other 2-7 star balls without any of them turning out to be worthless starless stones, giving that one of the balls are from an event. When you finally claim the remaining 6 balls and you end up having 8 Dragon balls in total (2 of them being the 1star balls) -and are to get new db's without using the current 7o ut of 8 balls for a wish, then you will get the hoi poi ball stone.

Did they change it then? It used to be that you couldn't have more than 7 balls in your inventory regardless or the new balls turned to the crafting one. I can't find the thread right now but i'll try to find it later. We had a discussion about it the last time this event came like a year ago.

It have always bin like that, given that one or more of your current db's are from events. You can even have 7 Db's claimed from the prober way and still get, say a full new set from the event afterwards. You would just then HAVE to make the wish or else your gonna start getting useless ''dbs''
