korin = male name
karin = female name

now i see, so that's why funni changed it to korin. Well that depends on which country you are from.

you see, Karin can be both for males or females, if rin is phonetically stronger, then karin becomes a male word.

It'd probably also be the case if the a were changed to have a different sound. Most people are reading "Karin" and thinking it like the common name for females "Karen". It could also be "K-ah-rin" with the changing to sound more like awning or with more emphasis placed on the -rin as Sab said.

Translate the armor and weapon coupons back to the first patch and the UDs and TMQs unless I played them i don't know whats what

see this is why i LOVE translating Chinese to English:

"格鬥攻擊力弱化術"

has a direct translation to:

"Wrestle striking power attenuation technique"

but through simplification to western it becomes:

"Agility Curse" or "Agility limitation technique"


and yes i will be throwing in as many simplification from basic Chinese to westernized English as and when i see them but it should be pointed out that direct translation isnt always an option.
