Every rule on this site there is a reason behind them. Not because they are "stupid" as jocer put. The rule "Do not post guild recruitment posts/threads" exists for the these reasons:

-There was a flood of guild recruitment threads back in the day which would cause flaming. People would try to put down the other guild or try to recruit the members who posted in that thread which would cause fights.

-There already is a guild section where if someone is looking to join a guild they have a variety to choose from. Then they can already select the guild they want.

Citrinate is already generous with giving us a guild recruitment page and access to our own guild private forums which is more then enough that a guild would need.

No, those are the only ones who "stand out" by asking that question, who are just too lazy to even look at what's in front of them, in the main forum page.

Basically this. Guild recruitment threads used to cause a lot of flaming and "Member stealing" so we removed them and added the guild forums.

If there is a rule that doesn't make sense, then there is a user who ruined it for everyone else, that the rule had to be made.
