So I found the item (taiwan, ID 1610010). Found out it is called Stone Armor.

But looking a few lines down, there are a few others that are not translated that have the same characters, and are also Stone Armor.

Is this right? Do some items have the same names? If so, would my submissions be right in them all being called stone armor?

It is quite possible for armour to have the same name with sight variations.

For example: "Stone armour" could be the name of one item while another piece of armour could be called "Old stone armour".

Well the chinese for the item is:

防具降等石

But there are other items (1610020, 1610030, 1610040, etc..) that have the exact same lettering. It seems like every 10 numbers there is that.

copy this to your (translation.txt). check "Don't translate item names" option on patch tool. The in-game auction house allows you to right click on an item to copy that item's name into the search box. This allows you to easily see what other people are selling the item for. If the item names are translated, you lose this functionality, and so it's recommended that this option be enabled.

I don't know about item names, but there are instances where the same text is repeated multiple times. If you come across something like this in the translation tool, you don't need to submit the same translation for every line of text. Just submit it maybe 3 or 4 times and I'll make sure that it gets translated everywhere.

Ok I can do that. It was the same line of text which is why I was confused.
