I am not really sure if the people working on the translation understand what the word "full", "complete" or even "vast" is.

Today, after forgetting about it for at least a few years I decided to check up on Dragonball Online and see what's been going on with it, I have been wanting to play it in forever.

I found this site and to be honest, the way the website presents the English patch that is being worked on is a little misleading.

The websites advertises it as a "Full English Patch", another page describes the patch as "... used to translate the vast majority of..." and then goes on to say the game is about 8% patched.

8% isn't "vast" and it sure as heck isn't a "Full English Patch".

After taking the time to register for the game, installing it, patching it and then playing it, I have to admit I was completely and utterly disappointed in what I saw. The website gives you a completely different idea of what the patch is and when you actually see what is done, well, it's a complete let down. I saw almost no English in the game what soever, especially anything that was actually helpful in any way shape or form.

I am in no ways trying to minimize the work it takes to translate something, I mean it took people a long time just to translate Mother 3 and that's a small Game Boy Advance game in comparison to a game of this size and nature, I simply feel the way the patch is advertised is pretty misleading.

I hope you guys have better luck with everything in the future, it's a shame fans even have to resort to this anyways, when the culture of Dragonball is still so strong in so many places.

If you really want a full English patch go and patch it your self or you can be patient and wait for them to finish patching it. Patching a game like this is not an easy or fast process so instead of complaining about it why don't you just wait until the patch is complete.

There are a lot of English speaking people that play , what version did you play ? The English patch is capable of a full English translation , it takes time and only released this way a few months ago

The above quote says that the English Patch Tool is "able" to translate if the translations are provided. This doesn't mean it has translated all of the game.

This means if people come together and help translate the game it can be used to translate most of the text in-game. It doesn't mean that it has already translated the vast text in game, hence the usage of "may be".

I do admit the thread title is slightly misleading, however if you actually take the time to read what is inside the thread, you will get a better understanding of it actually means.

The only reason it's called "Full English Patch" is because, in the past, it could only translate the game's interface.

After this huge improvement, the patch has now the ability to translate the entire game. It's great news for every single player here. So what else would you name the thread's title to, anyway?

Translating everything correctly from Chinese to English isn't an easy task, especially with longer phrases. If we had more native chinese speakers helping out, I'm sure we'd have alot more done by now. You're free to help out, if you want, though.

jeez that's like a big FORK you to the people who have spent hours not getting paid to do this for the love of this game , in my opinion you guys are doing an amazing job with this and i thank you for all your hard effort

It Was said to be a "Full" English Patch capable of translating all of DBO's text Because the First version of the Patch could Only Translate the UI , now this version can Translate all of the Text , But It is not Said That it translates all of the text .. As ishali Said .. You Obviously Didnt Read The Thread itself , only read the title

Indeed at this time the patch could not translate the entire content of the game, only basic menus or limitation of weight, but that can translate all the text content encourages us all to just work with time.

Certe a misleading title as you say, but that will be achieved if everyone works this content.

So yes, the patch is "able" to translate all, only time and patience to each correction and translation will see out complete.

Ok you should look back at how you presented this thread and how to the people who worked for days translating line after line, it looks like you're dogging them out. The accomplishment with getting the full game translated is that Dbo's security is tight and that this is not a game we made so the person who figured it out was seen as a hero. And honestly, I had nothing to do with translating or finding out how to do translate, but what you said offended me. You need to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
