A group of Dota 2 players invited to Valve’s offices have spotted references to both Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 on one of the computers.

A member of the group, who were there to take part in the International 3 tournament, snapped a picture of a Valve changelog on one of the dev’s computers. The image shows a line of text which mentions both Left 4 Dead 3 and the Source 2 engine.

Left 4 Dead 3 is yet to be officially announced, however the Source 2 engine has been hinted at several times and Gabe Newell basically confirmed that a new engine was in development during a fan tour last year.

Lawl exactly. I thought to valve, the number '3' was a myth.

If they make L4D3 it better be darker and scarier like L4D1 was . Also they should have all characters from 1 and 2 playable. besides adding 4 new ones. No one plays these for story, any character should be playable.
L4D3 should also include all the campaigns from 1 and 2 also and stack new campaigns too of course.
