i have the red and black scouter from west city or korin village depending where you got it from and i understand it helps you find dragon balls. i got a scouter from yahhoy fort which is a bit more expensive bbut it can locate db's as well but i see that there is a 2nd effect but it's in Taiwanese and i don't know what it means. Is this one supposedly better than the red and black or it doesn't matter? also should i worry about different scouters or do all function the same way? help would be really appreciated thanks.

if you are talking about the one that looks like candy and it costs 110k... it helps you find the dragonball and you can inspect the equipment of others... :)

basicly you get normal scouters which can show you on the radar mobs you need for qests, superior can show quest and dragonball mobs , excellant i think the same again , rare show quest mobs dragonball mobs and let you inspect other peoples gear but the merchants are in dungeons ect

The candy scouter (pink one) is easily best scouter.. allows you to read other peoples gear, db mobs, quests, quest mobs... it can be bought from scouter merchant in Aria Waterfall Cave.
