Between am following your FB DBO:R page and sometimes it looks pretty inactive/death. I suggest you do weekly updates there with minor information on progress or just simple (random) pictures or any other media updates. The Naruto Naiteki Kensei and Dragon Ball Earth Special Forces development team had such "weekly updates" ("Saturday update") which kept the community alive (discussion...etc)

I'm trying to be more active lately on FB.
It's just a fail cause when we are active, people only comment negative stuff about the game not being out yet. When we don't post as often, they go like "why is this page so dead?"
So... yea, life is hard.

Ye i saw that too. Kinda pathetic...
I bet the majority of the fans have high hopes while the minority is made of smart as*es or people that can't let go of the past. Well good luck with the project :)

Yes that's what i said, the last retail release.
The problem with the facebook community, is that it doesn't know what it wants.
We tried to do weekly pictures, etc.
People however were like, "We don't want pictures, we want videos", then it became, "We don't want either, we want the game"
And then came along all this nonsense of the other clients, and how poorly misguided people are.
Nothing we can really do about it either.
So, the best thing we can do is, when we have something to show, we show it.
No ifs, buts or what-have-you.
That's what we've done.

Pretty much happened in both ESF & NNK projects. Understandable i guess~
The patience is weak within them

I like to separate the community, by the facebook bunch and the Website bunch.
Because the facebook group is way bigger then the Website group.
and I'd say the website group is alot more warming to generally anything, then the facebook bunch.
It's very aggressive, especially because of the other clients.

Yeah, i've noticed that in other projects too. I guess its because of the rules and stuff.
On FB anyone can post or say anything, even flame and he won't be punished while on the websites...rules are to be followed.
Also those who are really interested in the project will create an account on the website and visit it, discuss, chat...etc.
The other clients are not "serious" work, the devs will eventually drop their projects. I mean releasing revisions and stuff? Also none of them plans to host an actual server which is very expensive.

Yea, I don't think it's about the rules... If someone cares enough for the project, they go to the forum, register and spent time with the community.
Then you have the people who just hit the like buttom on Facebook and start demanding the game non stop all days in each of our posts.

Yeah, yeah I know.
Still you need to understand that they making new animations, and other things.
But problem is that there no one wana work.
Some work for 1 month then 6 months nothing xD...
Plus it is boring game. You get bored after few hours playing it.
Attack everyone and blast... Even if there is tournaments, still its boring.
This new ESF will have only better grafic and maybe little better battle system.
