You can change your server by clicking the button at the top left hand corner of the character select screen highlighted below:
If you can't see the server names, use the below image as a guide to find the correct server (you have to click on the first sorting arrow at least once! after that make sure the sorting arrow for the first column is pointing down):
If you're still not sure whether or not you're on the correct server, try adding "Citrinate" (capitalization does matter) to your friends list (click here for a guide on how to do that). If you're on the right server you should get no error.
