Okay, I really started playing today. I read the beginners tips on this forums and I completed a few quests and made some friends. But I haven't talked to any fellow players, because I don't know how :(. I've completed a few quests now, but I just want to know: What the heck should I be doing?

Get the english patch yet?

Yes I have the English patch. I find that I can't do the quests without the arrows to guide me to my destinations because I don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing.

hit M and look for red circles and X's on your map? if there isnt one, its most likely a quest to duel, send a mail or some random crap.

Yea just click on the quest and the red words are usualy the thing your looking for just match up the Korean Letters, took awile for me to get used to but its easy to do now.

Okay, so now I'm a level 8 martial artist. But theres still ALOT of stuff I don't really know about.. like:

How/Where do I get pets?
I found a dojo, but I can't go in. What do I do?
Where can I get the Dragon Radar?
When can I go on Time Machine Quests? (I've been back in time and found baby Goku)

You really need to read through the guides and utilize the search functions. All the questions you have asked have been answered a 100 times. I will answer these questions, but next time, use the search function before asking questions.

1) You can get pets from the pet machine (looks like a giant gumball machine) in all starter towns and there is one in West City. You can't really miss it, also, you should get a quest to try it out. You can also purchase them in the auction house.
2) You cannot go into a Dojo unless your guild owns it
3) The dragon radar is given to you after you complete the quest dragon ball chain (should have all 7 by level 20), or purchase one from the auction house
4) The first chance to do a TMQ is when you reach Korin Forest (The second map). You should wait until your in your mid 20s before trying to get into a group. Don't try and do it alone, you need a full party.

Just thought I'd add to this, one of the first quests you get in any starter town is right next to the pet machine, and it wants you to buy a pet for like 2500zenny or something (you get your zenny back too) Also, just adding, the first few quests involving going back in time are more relatively called Time line quests to unlock certain abilities, first one is at lv 4 for your charge ability, then 9 for Guard and Counter attack, then.. 14 I think for dash.

A very important thing to not forget is the quest finder chip for in your scouter. You have that?
