Like I stated a few posts up. Don't worry about the timer. If it runs out, you just get your dragon balls back in your inventory. Then you can just put them back into the shrine and try again.
Doing this is a good way to get familiar with where the wishes are located

Yeah that would be usefull if i knew it earlier.. well i will get the dragonballs again eventually...
