(buying it at a store, not online, links are just reference.)

Okay so the PSP 3000 is about $130.

The Battery Pack (which is required to play on the go) is about $20

Oh wait, the Core pack comes with:
AC power cord
AC adaptor
Battery pack
So the battery pack and the AC is taken care of.

Play on any TV using video out (cables sold separately)
So let's see I use SDTV, so gotta find a Composite cable. and maybe component cable just in case.

I wonder if local stores have these. maybe about $20. There are Composite cables for 3000, right?

Memory Stick (2GB)
http://www.ebgames.com/accessories/p...duo-20gb/39435
(although people recommend 16 GB.)
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Memory-St.../dp/B0013AX2HO
wow that's pricey. Maybe just start out with 2gb for now, not planning on using the 2gb besides saves for 2-3 games.

Screen Protector $10

Traveler case $15

PSPs can use the PS3 controller USB cables to plug into PS3,right? The official PSP cable looks similiar.

I'm not sure what games you could get because i don't use my psp as much anymore and when i do i just play mk unchained, dbz shin budokai and svr07. All i can say is if you go gaga =P for those games then get it if you just want it to beat it and then throw it away then don't unless you are getting more games.

If you gonna jailbreak your PSP then you should get a 16Gb Memory Stick if not then you should probably just get a 2gb one.
And tbh I would wait for the NGP to come out =p

my advice on the psp purchasing is to try to get an older phat model from ebay. that is if you play to put custom firmware on it. They are the most compatible with all custom firmwares and overall I love my psp. Everyone at work envies my phat psp when they see it lol. Also if you do plan to get custom firmware for it, I run with an 8GB memory stick and it has worked just fine for myself. you can't really play THAT many games at a time, so 8GB is plenty of space. Most games aren't that huge. Games like kingdom hearts obviously is over 1GB but still, most aren't to bad in size.

Just my personal opinion on getting one :), if you have any friends that work at best buy by chance in your area, you can get the screen protector for like $2 if that, and the game case would be really cheap as well. Good luck on your purchase and hope you enjoy your psp, I don't play mine much anymore but I still love it!

Also just another note, if you have an Ipod touch or iphone, get the Best buy gamers club app (i think thats the name), you can browse lots of games. Best buy also does game trade ins! They give you more then gamestop does, but like gamestop its best to take the gift card. You have the choice of a gift card or a check mailed to you. The app also lets you search for games or you can scan the bar code on the box to see how much best buy will give you for it! Most older games are only like $2-3 per game, but i know for black ops you get $30, halo reach you can get $25, if you happen to have the "New super mario bros" for nintendo DS you can get $20 for that :).

Toss me a pm if you need me to look up any games if you don't have an ipod touch or iphone to do it yourself, I would be happy to pm you a list of what best buy offers for whatever games you want to trade in! Also the only other small print to it is you HAVE to have the game case, the disc, and the booklet.
