Ugh! i wish i lived in the US. i want to go to this.

You wouldn't be able to even if you did, not unless you worked in the Gaming Industry. Even then the tickets would set you back some.

E3 hasn't really happened. Just the Big Conferences. Nintendo will be the last one.

I typically find the news coming out of the booths better than the conferences. With the exception of the Big 3.

EDIT: Before everyone cries about being misinfomed about Wii U.

It does have a console, http://kotaku.com/5809482/the-is-the...sole-the-wii-u they only showed the controller.

Nintendo's show was amazing! The WiiU looked awesome. To think games like Batman Arkham City and even potentially Battlefield 3 are coming to the WiiU. I can't wait to play Skyward Sword either!

YES!

It seems like Nintendo's essentially trying to take the success of their dual screens to the consoles. In a way, the WiiU is a lot more like a DS than a Wii. One of the things I'm a touch worried about is how easily it's going to fit in my hand. It also looks really expensive, which could be a bit of an issue if you have to buy a bunch of them.

Also, new Smash Bros. game on both systems? How can I say no?

The new system seems to be capable of solving my current problem with video games in general. I really can't just sit down on a couch and play video games, because I don't have a couch to play video games on. I have to sit on the floor to play them, which is a bit of a hassle. With this, at least I won't have to worry about that.

Still looking forward to hearing what kind of hardware this thing's going to run on.

I think the WiiU is going to have some problems reaching both of the audiences it attempts to attract.

For the hardcore gamers it doesn't present itself as a next generation console. Sure the graphics are better, but not next-gen better. Why should anyone give up their PS3 or 360 for something they essentially already have?

For the casual market I think it may have a hard time differentiating itself from the Wii (having "Wii" in the title doesn't help at all). The extra screen certainly isn't as big of a game changer for casual gamers as motions controls were.

I was impressed by the Wii U. I was expecting much, much less. lol Honestly, I can see it doing some good. Also, that Zelda demo video they did with it... Holy crap, those graphics were amazing. It's being speculated that that's what the future of Zelda games will look like. :3 I can't wait for Super Smash Bros. 3DS. I've been saying for a while now that they need a hand-held Super Smash Bros. game.

Skyward Sword is scheduled for a holiday season, 2011 release.

problem with the wii U in itself is the controller, it already costs $70 for a wiimote and nunchaku combo, last thing I need is the price of a hand held so my friends can play.

I think this will bring in the casuals, hardcore, and those in the middle ground.

This controller will change the way game are played. The applications are near endless, and with the support of third party developers who'll more than likely make full use of it. I can see it dwarfing many other consoles.
