Personally, I want something in the vein of classic fighting games... <.< We haven't had anything comparable since Super DBZ, and that sold like crap. But now that 2D fighters are getting a revival, it sure would be a great time to release something like that. (Hint hint Namco Bandai... ;) )

Yeah, fighting games are getting a revival.
Tekken
SF
Soul Calibur
KoF
MK9
DoA
MvC3
much more...
Tournaments are growing, combo videos, etc...
websites like shoryuken.com or tekkenzaibatsu.com are for the community
Arcade sticks a selled, even stick alternatives are made...

Yeah these new fighting games are getting better and better. But, for a lot of DBZ fans, they want games more like the show.... and this games sorta does the job from what I've seen. But as a fighting game it can't really stand on it's own. I couldn't feel competitive playing against someone else....

Are the voices going to be original English? E.g. the Goku from the actual anime

And what is the story line like?

The story mode will follow the dbz plot instead of raging blast 2's galaxy mode. Its up to funimation if the want to do it

Pretty much all Dragon Ball games have the English voice cast as the default in the American release of the games. You can usually switch it to Japanese, though.

As for the story, it'll probably just be the same as previous Dragon Ball games, playing through the story of Z for the zillionth time, with virtually nothing from the original Dragon Ball or GT. Either that, or it's going to completely ignore the plot in favor of an arcade-style play through or something.

I'm still waiting for a game where we can play as one character only and actually follow the events. E.g. you can play as trunks where you first do the history of trunks saga instead of just a fighting game.

In one of the GBA fighting games it worked that way. Besides, if that's what happened, I'd prefer it to be a classic RPG instead.

Yeah like a rpg. I'm amazed that they haven't done it yet. Hopefully they will. I'd love to be flying around Namek as Gohan or Vegeta etc..

Buddy. If you want to do that I’d play some of the Snes and Nes games. They are REALLY good. Better than most of the PS versions.

Until I see a DB game that starts story from Dragon ball to DBZ i won't be that impressed about the games. It's just annoying; they purposely miss out parts of the game so that they can keep remaking them.
