Son of a ***** I knew this was coming when KR hit the wall! God, I just bought a dogi with real money a few weeks back! Man, whatever it was fun. Any good MMOs need something to do in my down time. :(

Honestly, DBO shutting down is pretty good news. Reason being, wasabii/netmarble were both terrible companies at running the game and NTL were poor developers. With all of the versions being shut down it now makes it possible for a private server to be developed without problems. Sure we won't see any new updates but in all honesty who cares. It's not like NTL were updating the game consistently anyway.
People also forget that with a private server being made, if everything goes according to plan then we shall be able to release content updates that NTL never released (the last part of Papaya Island and also Franfran Desert South). So in theory, they could make it possible for an unofficial level cap.
The only negative with the game shutting down is all the time/effort and money players invested into their characters. I only hope that if the private server comes we will be able to get all of our characters back.
Hopefully everything will go smooth with the development of the private server and the team will not reach a dead end.
Best of luck to the team.

Although I haven't played it in some time, I have to admit that I'm still gonna miss it.
Yeah, in retrospect, it's really a pretty mediocre MMO. Poorly run, poorly balanced. But that doesn't matter, because I had fun with it anyway, despite the many flaws.
For those who care (no-one), here's my story:
I joined TW in October of 2011. At first, I tried playing a Namekian. I chose Dark Warrior as my class, and suffice to say it was a train-wreck. He never even made it to level 40. Then, after deeming him a failure, I decided to try out a different character. I always liked Buu from the show, so I made a Majin. A Plasma named Juna, who quickly became my main. I made some friends, and soon joined a guild.
After a while, that guild decided to merge with another guild. Following the merge, due to various internal conflicts (and me being overly argumentative), I soon got my ass kicked out. Myself and a few of the aforementioned friends (who had either been kicked, or left themselves) joined another guild. Fun times were had for awhile, but then real life started being a jerk and I had to leave the game for a long time.
I decided to try out HK, but it didn't work out, so I came back to TW several months later. Unfortunately, by this point, I had all but lost interest in the game. I caught up with some friends and played a few times, then just kinda.... stopped. That "stopping" was a couple months ago. I only ever made it to level 50 before losing interest, but I still had fun for awhile, at least, so I will miss DBO despite its (many, many) failings.
And yes, I know that nobody cares about any of this. Sorry for taking up space in the thread.
