i dont know much about it but when i tried to transfer upgrades to my pole from my old gloves it wouoldnt let me but it would glove for glove it seems they have to be same item or i was just missing something

The item that has the upgrades originally needs to be the same or a higher lvl and it needs to be the same type glove/glove weapon/weapon pants/pants etc. |

transfer upgrade system just can do with same level or lower level items. ex : glove lv 55 can do transfer upgrade with lv 55 too, glove lv 55 can transfer upgrade with lv 53 and lower, and glove lv 53 not can do transfer upgrade to lv 55.
transfer upgrade is still has bug, if you want to transfer +6 old weapon to new weapon +0. but the transfer is success. and your old weapon will gone after that. but before to do this, you have to first look at your status, do not be surprised if the status of your attacks will go down drastically with your new weapon +6. to solve this bug, downgrade to -1 to back your weapon status, then upgrade it again.
but the trick to use this system use the items with upgrade +5 (weapon) or +3 (armor), cause that item still not maximum in safety upgrade system. you need trial and error to do this. good luck.
oh.. i'm forgot, if you want to upgrade but you don't want it to playing 3 cards at upgrade vendor. go to auction house, sometime you will see the white grade items (not superior, excellent rare or legend), but the " + " upgrade is crazy like +14,+11 or else. buy that items, and transfer it to your items. but if you have a lot zenny to buy that.

OMG ! just found this guide and just realised that I've been saving upgrading stones for nothing. Never knew those Uxx are for weap/armor level :/
Should I just NPC the U11 stones or do people actually buy them ?
Whats the max upgrade on armor/weap ?
What happen if the upgrade fail ?

People buy them.
If a armor/weapon is level 11 only the level 11+ stones will be able to upgrade it.
If it fails it won't upgrade but if it brakes you won't be able to use it anymore

You missed a few details:
You can use your old hoi poi stones or upgrade stones and trade them in at the same upgrade merchant's shop for the new type of upgrade stones.

How can you upgrade your lesser level stones? I tried at the upgrade merchants shop but he only upgrades stuff? unless I am understanding wrong. |
