Well heres finaly the release of my edf decrypter.
In this thread you will find much informations about my tool.
But mainly this tool is used to De/Encrypt edf files, which are in the file "tbl0.pak".
Firstly here a screen of my tool, and i explain you the tool.
- Replace = If you activate this Option, the input file will gets overwritten with the De/Encrypted File.
- Make Editable = If you activate this Option, in front of the File Binary a "FF FE" will be added so you can open it in Editor.
(Dont forget to uncheck it if you want to Encrypt file back to paste it in tbl0.pak)
Well heres now a little Tutorial for example, how you edit the Chat Filter strings.
1. Open the Folder "Data" which comes with the Decrypter, and copy following file to desktop: "table_chatting_filter_data.edf"
2. Drag & Drop the File into the Decrypter, and Check "Replace" and "Make Editable", and press the button "De/Encrypt"
3. Open the File in Notepad++.
4. Search for strings such as "gm" and replace them with any other String like "##".
5. Uncheck "Make Editable" and Choose the edited file and Encrypt it.
6. Open the File in Hex Editor, and open the tbl0.pak in hex editor.(Make a backup of it, if theres a patch you need place the original tbl0.pak back)
7. Copy the first 10 Bytes of the Edited file, and search this binary in the tbl0.pak to find the position of the file.
8. Copy the whole Binary of the edited file, and WRITE it at the selected offset inside the tbl0.pak
9. Go Ingame and test it. Write gm in chat and look if it works. If it crash you know you did something wront. In This case Paste back the Original tbl0.pak and try again.
10. Finish!
If there was an Update, i will post the Updated Data folder.
- o_table_text_all_data.edf = In this file the Strings for Item Effects and Item Names are.
- o_table_quest_text_data.edf = In this file the Quest strings are.
