The only thing im still not happy about is, the fact they have not made a DBZ game which starts from the begining of Dragonball.

Some chibi goku vs general red/silver/blue. awsome~

They have, many in fact. They're just not straight-up fighting games, and are usually beat-em-ups.

The Raging Blast games didn't do that.

I'm just going to say what I'd like to get out of this game ahead of time. If too much is missing on launch, I'm not grabbing it.

-Character variation. This is pretty much the only thing that kills that the Tenkaichi games. All of the characters play exactly the same minus their super moves. There's a little more to them if you're using combos, but it's nowhere near the level of depth you get when you play Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter.

-For Dende's sake, take out the walls. I'd rather have a small Pac-Man stage than a big stage with walls surrounding it. Unless you're in a building with walls, there's no reason to have them, and they just detract from the game as a whole.

-Make me feel like I should play the game over and over. Give me a reason to become immersed in it.

-Get rid of the what-if characters if they're just going to be Super Saiyans. They're annoying and pointless, and offer nothing gameplay wise. If you were to have, say, a Cell Ozaru, I'd be interested because that's original and would play differently than Cell normally would.

-If you need to make a story mode, include the original Dragon Ball. Otherwise, I still want to see them in there, just because.

-Keep Mr. Satan on the character roster. Also, shove in Arale if you can, and throw in Z from Neko Majin if possible. If you're going to have a large roster, joke characters are a must.

-Try to balance the game so I actually have a chance of beating Vegetto with Mr. Satan. Yes, I know, it's not true to the series, but it makes multiplayer incredibly unfair if you're opponent's just using a broken character.

-If the game isn't deep, then by all means, give us a decent character creator so we can take advantage of it. It will also give me somewhere to point all of the people who want to be like Goku playing Dragon Ball Online just so they can go Super Saiyan.

-Another OVA plx0rz

Meh... when the games look like this

I'll take a look again. Don't dig this whole semi-realistic look they are giving.

::edit:: it's a still from RB1 that a fan took and gave acurate colors/aura/lightning to. RB1.. still the closest we have come to looking like DBZ :(

I'm more concerned with gameplay than I am graphics. However, something that looks like that would certainly add to the "It feels just like Dragon Ball!" feel they're aiming for. Unfortunately, flat manga and anime don't transition well to 3D character models. I think that's why we get things that look nothing like Dragon Ball in the backgrounds.

The latest Raging Blast game lacked a story mode, and was more like an arcade mode ala Street Fighter. You go through a series of fights, but there are no cutscenes between them, no voice overs relating to a plot, and so on if memory serves.

I have the fortune of playing almost every dragon ball game created and i feel that considering they are over 20yrs in of making the same game you'd think they would make more of an effort to give what fans ask for. I don't mean GT or any crap like that. But i mean the little things such as fuller storylines better balanced characters during online play and a more in-depth combo system.

To me the games have been slowly getting worse.

Dragon Ball Z: Kyôshū! Saiyan
Dragon Ball Z II: Gekishin Freeza
Dragon Ball Z III: Ressen Jinzōningen
Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu
Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku
Dragon Ball Z: Super Goku Den — Totsugeki-Hen
Dragon Ball Z: Super Goku Den — Kakusei-Hen
Dragon Ball Z: The Legend

All these games came out over 15yrs ago and there all the new ones.....-_-

They have been doing what the fans wanted if you ask me. We got Super Saiyan 3 Broli, remember? :P
