Moreover, if you cancel the animation and press Z immediately after and cancelling the charge in the process, you may skip animation frames completely and follow up using skills without any sort of delay.
Alternative, you may also choose to press F to cancel the skill instead of right clicking.
I've been using this all the time and it's awesome; e.g. being able to chain KDs with a MA or chaining stuns/skills with absolutely no delay. This technique could prove to be potent in future PvP, I must say.
