great namek is rly only good for standing there and taking hits

that's true but remember that great nameks are for PvE, and PvE Nameks are tankers so they do really good job

Great Namek is far from useless.
A Namekian with decent gear + GreatNamek can 2-3 maybe 4 hit the Humans...also BIG def nice AOE's.
GreatNamek's are for the Boss events,HardBosses or TMQ's/Duengons with many supers/ultras.
Also GreatNamek can handle the aggro pretty well.
