I was just looking for some insight as to the actual numbers behind hit/crit rate, defense, dodge, etc. What does 17 crit rate translate to?
Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I've been playing WoW for a couple of years. WoW uses forumals where x rate = y %. Does something like this exist in DBO or is it a "more crit rate means I crit more but I'm not sure by how much."
I know not everyone likes number crunching but I'm just trying to figure out values for certain passives and skills and if they are worth getting. Thank you for any information on this subject.

Hard to tell, if the formula is similar to WoW (Which I doubt it is) then only a level capped person would be able to tell the true figures, atm, each level would lower your crit(which it doesnt seem to) as crit rate in wow scales with level, say 5 crit rating is 5% crit at lvl 10, at level 30 it might be 2%, so with everybodys leveling constantly changing and nobody (Besides PizzaPie i believe) is level capped on these forums its hard to give a true figure thats applicable to your level. I personally think its either 1crit rating = 1% or 13 crit rating = 1%, however looking at the Sword Master skill tree, there is an ability to increase crit rating by 13/15/16/19 which would lead me to believe thats % or the difference would be larger to compensate for level, the other theory is 13=1% at lvl 40 and 19=1% at lvl 60, but that would mate it a totaly useless ability. Thats my thoughts behind it.

Well I know that in WoW, going over 100% hit is common and leads to a slight waste of item stat allocation. Going over 100% crit, well I've never seen that but if it were to happen, then anything over 100% would just be a waste, be it from gear or skills.

u cant have a hit rate over 100%??? 100% means u cant miss and u cant hit what u dont throw for example if i attack 50 times i wont be able to hit them with the attack 60 times.

In WoW at least having over 100% hit is possible because the % chance is for something your level. Things higher than you have a greater chance to be missed than things your level so having over 100% means you can hit targets higher level than you.
Say for a mob 5 lvls higher than you, you have an extra 10% chance to miss them, having 110% chance to hit means you can hit them 100% of the time as well. But its deceiving since Physical hits aren't actually flat % based in WoW, it uses a table based on rolls.
If DBO is like most games then there is a formula for hit/crit rate to actual % but it probably has diminishing returns so you get less per point the more you have.

It is possible to go over 100% crit(Not possible in WoW) as crit reduction effected by defense, e.g. Attacker has 110% crit Defender has 30% crit reduction, therefore Attackers true crit is 80%, and to the people talking about WoW stats its not about reaching 100% its about reaching a soft/hard cap, and diminishing returns is not a factor in crit/hit. Like I said its very difficult at this stage to judge stats, as there is no way to truely test it (Unless you were Korean and had a lot of time and resources) more than likely after the games mechanics have taken a stable form, the developers will release charts and formulae to the public. But dont judge WoW combat mechanics to this, as they are two totally different things in every way.
