Im currently baffled with crafting, my crafting level is 11 (I think) and I have bought all the patterns I can use at this level, however the only thing I can make (Through vendor buying) is the garlic things, but atm, my Mix Level will not increase at all, I figured I need to unlock it by talking to the gofer, and have tryed all the options with him, but non of them seem to do anything.
the level in the recipies is per mix master level.
You will first have to make the low level stuff to get to level 10.
your level increases by making items succesfull or superb
(from what i heared superb makes you increase more and faster)
you have to hit space 2 times during mixing when teh bar hit the mixing lines.
When using Eternitron and Nuarda's translation patch a lot of that stuff is translated, so you might be interested in checking that out...
Also the recipes sold at the mix master are level 1, 5, 10 and 15 crafting required stuff
Each item stops giving crafting exp at 10 levels above its required level
Every item has its own 'succes' chance, it apparently does not matter if you're able to match the 2 lines in the blue bar, HOWEVER, when a normal succes would grant you say 30 crafting exp, a superb (both lines matched) grants triple that experience.
And while at the start you won't notice much about it every time you press spacebar to match a line it costs some EP, at higher level this cost increases a lot and you'll be able to make less items at once before needing to regen EP.
For instance on my lv23 i got lv21 crafting and a weapon recipe learned, i can only craft it ONCE and then i'm nearly out of EP.
As for the bottom screen you posted, those are the 'specialities'
'Cooking' (makes food/drinks and some status clear items aswell as upgrade stones) requires level 10
At level 15 you can pick up weapon crafting or (in translated patch so it might be called differently) cloth armor crafting, at level 30 you also get sub-weapon crafting and at level 50 you get tech-armor crafting and accessory crafting.
However you can learn only ONE speciality per character and unlearning it will result in losing the recipes you learned for that specific one (or so i'm told)
While i'm still looking myself i think that aside from the stuff sold at the mix master the only recipes you can get are drops, i've gotten several from super/ultra crates, but i'm told they also drop from monsters.
*EDIT*
It also seems you can't get crafting higher then your character's level, so if it doesn't go higher while you're using a lv5 or 10 recipe and you're lv11 then thats the case.
Ah i didnt see the pics before i guess my work computer blocked them at first or something >.>
it does that at times..
however: yes get the english patch... you will find it helpfull.
