For those of you who don't know what Dungeon Keeper is, it was a bit of an obscure strategy game from the late 90's.

Pretty much, the goal was to build your lair (Based underground) to entice monsters and demons into your command to fend off the valiant heroes who dared to enter your lair.

It's been praised as a fun, and innovative game for its time. I have wasted a good bit of my time on the game, myself.

The Bullfrog team was originally working on a Dungeon Keeper 3, but EA felt it necessary to lay off much of the original bullfrog staff and put the rest to work on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings based games.

If that wasn't a slap in the face, EA has recently sold the rights to a Chinese company to make an MMO. And while I don't think Dungeon Keeper will work very well as an MMO, that isn't what pisses me off.

Not only is this Chinese company going to make an MMO on a Western game, but, ready for it?...

It's only going to be released in China.
Both Dungeon Keeper games saw a lot of their success in the WEST, yet they want to restrict us from it?

The hell, EA?

/rant over.

Spore and The Sims are actually made by a company called Maxis, which is a subsidiary to EA.
Pretty much EA funds the games that Maxis makes. Much like how they fund Bioware's games.

Most of the good products with EA's logo on it are actually made by Game developers that EA owns and funds.

This is why the only games I play are for free and then I find a way to do something for free that would cost something. Lol I don't know what Dungeon Keeper is, but once it comes out, its a matter of time before people begin to make english forums like these across the internet :). So don't get totally down.

To be honest, I'm not totally sure they will match the original game all that well.

The original game was goofy and had a lot of dark humor. Something I don't think Chinese developers could really pull off.

And not totally because I think they're humorless, it's just they're restrained by Chinese censorship laws. I mean, if they have to censor things in WOW, how are they going to make a game like Dungeon Keeper, which has lots of dark themes?
