Dragonball Online's Korean publisher, CJ Internet, has spent the last few days at the Korean gaming convention, G-star, promoting some of their games. Thirty-four computers were set up at the Dragonball Online booth giving players attending the very first hands on look at each races level 50 transformation. If you'd like to see more of what went on at G-star: check out our
thread on the convention.
This has meant very little though to English fans who've been keeping up-to-date with Dragonball Online at G-Star as no new information has been released. Unfortunately, it seems like we'll have to wait a little longer for the most anticipated piece of information: the date for the upcoming open beta.
While G-Star may have disappointed, hopefully this new update won't:
the skill database. Only available here at DBOCOM, the skill database allows users to easily browse through our large catalog of English translated skills and allows translators to easily add and update skills. Thanks mostly to Kienzen, Monolith, and Morfi for their translations; the skill database now has just under 200 skills (still not 100% complete, but it's getting there).
The user interface should be pretty self explanatory. Simply type the name of a skill into the text box, like "Super Saiyan", or search for all of the skills available to a class/master class through the drop down menus and hit the submit button. If you'd like to add a new skill or edit one that's already there you can find those options at the top right corner of the database. More advanced features for both users searching through the database and users editing the database will be added in the future.
This is only the first database we're implementing. In time we'll have similar databases for NPCs, items, and quests; and even skill trees to allow users to test and share skill tree configurations.
