I feel like the developers of DBO are having major money issues. They need to do something to make money fast, or get bought out, lest the game die.

Do you think if we complete the patch, we could ask them if they want to use it to develop the game for western audiences? Extremely little work on their end, and they make money from new people.

I think when it is done then it get used by alot of people and become widespread. it will earn it own rep and they might just link it on there site.

If we gave it to them with creative control, I think they might be able to put the finishing touches on it and actually release the game to western audiences.

It would be stupid to put this on their site unless the site was in English.

well that the thing they can barely give support to english player do you think they will supply english/chinese translator? Money wise it take work and budget from the company.

Like I said. We give them the patch. There's no translation necessary...

We can just ask tons of MMO sites to advertise DBO. There tons of fan MMO sites like MMOHUNT and what not they're really popular.
Give them the best foreign PvP/PvE videos so they can make/forge and badass preview.

You guys are missing the point. To make money, they need English players to play it. Which means they need an English downloader and an English website; most users aren't going to bother with trying to go through a foreign website with a foreign loader. End of story.

If we hand them their game translated to English completely, on a silver platter, they may seriously consider putting together an English site and an English loader; if they do that little bit of work, the money starts rolling in.

Not to mention, people are more willing to pay attention to previews and such if they are in English!

oh sorry i misunderstood. If you translated the whole game i'm actually 80% positive they might use it if you can get a taiwan/english person who can be the go to translate guy.
So yea i can see it happening but first we gotta translate the game xD.

Well, see, the thing is, if you've ever sent an e-mail to the people working on DBO, they always e-mail you back... In English. So SOMEONE speaks English there. It shouldn't be too hard to get them to listen.

And do you know how awesome we'd feel? Everyone who is working on the English patch, kickstarting DBO back into the limelight?
