Recently i turned level 30, and I currently have 6 dragon balls. i was wondering, for my build should i spend 3 points on Kaio-Ken, or should i just skip it and just get Super Sayain?

P.S. I was planning on getting Super Sayain either way

Depending on your class, for fighters kaioken its more effective for fighters then Super saiyan, for turtles/cranes super saiyan, they can pretty much hold it for a long time.

assuming that since he posted this question in the martial artist forum I assume he is either a fighter or a SM and because of that both have low EP so Kaioken is better than SSJ.

Kaioken is good for short time, if you wana critic fast someone.
SSJ is way better, give you even dodge and hit rate plus power and in ssj you have 2x more ep.

If you have ep pots and ep auto then use ssj . But kaioken is very useful to especially whilst ssj is on cd

if you max out kaioken it owns super saiyan for sure but i recommend excellent hit rate

Kaioken x1= increased attack power(more than SSJ), attack speed, movement speed. 6m cool down.
Kaioken x2+= increased crit rate by 2 (and will be +2 crit rate for each kaioken application thereafter)

Super Saiyan = increased attack power, dodge, hit rate, attack speed, movement speed, and doubles your EP. 1hr cool down.

Everyone will have super saiyan at one point or another. In my humble opinion I think having Kaioken as a backup is neccessary.
