I can't help but feel that us foreigner ruined DBO for all the native people. We invaded their game, took it over, and now it's dead because no one ever contributed or bought anything to support the developers. If we never played DBO,would the game still be alive?

Uhh What? DBO died because the developement was trash.

-Korea died. Did that ever have many foreigners that TW ever had? No. It didn't. At the start it had foreingers who had KSSNs, but after TW came out the whole server pretty much died. It became a ghost town.

-Instead of NTL spending their time on proper updates, and organizing their time well, they spend the last few updates that were released on the stupid pet system and crafting system. That just tells me the fools didn't even know what was important, and on top of that they didn't even work on balancing the game.

-Who the hell ever said foreigners never contributed? It came to a point where foreigners spent more money on the game then the Taiwanese did.

-Look at the Hong Kong version. That had way more natives and the foreigner playerbase was low as hell. That still died in the end along with TW and KR.

-Look at games such as PSO2 (Phantsy star online 2) That game is ran by sega in Japan, and it has both foreigners and Japanese playing along side each other. That game is still going strong.

IF anything, it was foreingers who kept DBO alive for all this time. Since foreigners was half of the player base.

I agree to you, but still. Foreigner were the ones who used to buy or even steal ID numbers from KR people.
It caused problems with the law. I remember they got sued or something.
Before this ID shit they were actualy working on new update with guild system change and pvp tweaks.
Also that foreigners vs locals shit. I can't say about other version, but TW people were friendly and helpful. They didn't deserve all that hate.

So basically because of foreigners doing international ID theft to play the game caused the Korean developers to get sued because of their information was being used to play their game? As such, the company got sued and grew dark because of it?

Not saying that is what happened, but maybe a plausible reason.

I still don't think foreigners are to blame, because if anything then it was the koreans fault for giving away their KSSN without any hesitation.

Let's be real for a second .

Foreigners made the game last longer because a lot if us cashed for cash points .
We also made the game worth playing because without the tw v foreigner competition we would have all quit a long time ago as the drama was the only thing keeping the more serious players active . Also there's no point talking about KR as they dug themselves a grave making it KSSN only because tw and hk were easy to register so everyone avoided KR . They should have kept hk and tw , done a server merge for TW . But they didn't because they were to lazy to do updates, fix bugs or care about what we wanted in a game , so the developers were the reason people stopped playing not the foreigner v tw wars as they were the only reason to play

Ntl was the dev for Dbo, not net marble. they are two different company's. on a side note I have heard many times that net marble was sued for the mass fraud, but have yet to a single source link. regardless though netmarble only affects Korean development, not tw or HK which was produced by wasabii.

the reason this game shut down is essentially ntls fault for lack of updates. balancing issues did fall on the producers though.
