I was thinking about and I thought it would be unfair if everyone on the DBOPS development team became a G.M.

So the way I think to fix this problem if it become a issue is that their only be 3-5 GM's.

Don't know but if I was on the development team I would surely want to be a G.M and have a side account at the same time. And I'm pretty sure that most people on the development is thinking like that, but don't want say anything about it until it the time GM picking.
