One of my friends told me that the armor you get from the dragonballs at level 20 cannot break when upgrading them, the upgrade would just simply fail. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

This happened to me on KR pre-patch (upgrade failed but I still had the armor). Not sure if it's still the same.
