With the new Hyrule Warriors, they better include Zelda playable, as well as a host of other Zelda series popular characters in the roster.

If it's just variations of Link or just a half dozen other characters, this would be THE WORST and most worthless roster in the entire Koei /Musou/Warriors history!!!!!!!!!!
(If they really have low standards with roster variety, the least they could do is make Zelda playable like she is in the SSB games.)
With the Warriors brand gameplay and framework, they have VAST potential to make lots of classic and new Zelda characters playable that would otherwise just be NPCs in a traditional Zelda game (and Koei is great at even making the least relevant characters super fun and cool in the gameplay.)
Considering the first edition of a nonKoei franchise series (like even Gundam and FOTNS) always have at least 10 or so playable characters in their debut Warriors game,
this Hyrule Warriors game should definitely have 10+ significant characters from Zelda universe that equates to a roster that's worthy of Koei's great reputation in quality and playable diversity (and worthy of people's investment in buying/playing a game like this. If people just want Link, there's the other Zelda games for that. This could be the "Mario Party" or "Mario Kart" of Zelda games, Warriors style. )
They can add:
*Zelda (something like her TP/Brawl version.)
*Marin (could use a harp weapon style like Cai Wenji)
*Tingle (use some type of weapon)
*Midna (self explanatory)
*Navi (an ass kicking fairy would be original for this series),
*Link's uncle (could use their own style)
*Error (the famous NPC from Zelda II. They could be a strong tank type like Guan Yu)
*Skull Kid (could be a speedy combo type)
*Ashei (she could be one of the most well rounded playable characters for beginners)
*Medli (could be the best at aerial combos and juggles)
See, named at least 10 valid and unique characters that aren't just some version of Link in the roster. Zelda franchise does have plenty of great characters to add to the playable roster besides versions of Link and Ganon or some others. Though of course not expecting Koei and Nintendo to decide the best roster for this, but maybe if it's successful, they could expand the roster with an ongoing series for it.
