The casual gamer certainly seems to prefer Nintendo over either, if sales charts are anything to go by. The DS eats up the market, and is second only slightly to the Playstation 2. The PS3 and Xbox 360 sales combined can't touch it. From a marketing perspective, it's clear what's appealing to the majority of consumers, and the majority of consumers are more concerned with how adorable their Nintendogs are as opposed to the system's graphical capabilities. (Of course, the 3DS has better graphics than the PS2 anyway, so...)
Either way, looks to me like we're getting a Raging Blast 3. How can I tell? Pretty simple really. They're aiming more for quasi-realistic graphics, as we have thus far with them, there's that little super meter that seems similar to the previous game's, oh, and it's coming out in the fall. That's the kicker. Every previous Raging Blast game has come out at the exact same point in the year, pretty much on the dot.
I might finally have the money to pick up a PS3 this year (sorry 360 buffs, I prefer the PS3 for a pretty simple reason: my hands don't feel comfortable on the enormous controller) thanks to the price drop and the fact that I'm officially getting a summer job. Maybe I'll pick this up, but it all depends on the game's content. And more importantly, is there another OVA with this? :3
