Until I see a DB game that starts story from Dragon ball to DBZ i won't be that impressed about the games. It's just annoying; they purposely miss out parts of the game so that they can keep remaking them.

The story is rarely something important in a Dragon Ball game. A lot of fans just flat out don't want a story mode in their games, because they've played through the story a thousand times before anyway. I have to say, I agree. The only reason I'd want a story is if either everything possible is included, or if it's an RPG.

Honestly, we know the story back and front by now...seeing it 3D style will look cool, but it can't fill the hole DBZ gamers want. I mean I remember playing Storm 2, nothing but cutscenes which looked cool because it was true to the anime/manga, but got annoying after a while.... For a DBZ fighting game, the fighting is actually is supposed to make or break the game.

Yea, this is the gameplay i've been waiting for.. altho the cutscenes would kinda kill it after a while ;l.
But it looks totally epic! just like in the anime.
Also the boss fights remind me of Nuns, hope it will be as great or even better :D.

Contrary to popular belief a lot of Dragon ball fans don't know the story from back to front. Either because they only played the games (which always have bad continuity) or didn’t bother to read the manga and added the fillers and fan theories as part of the story. That is partly why a game from top to bottom would be good.

I guess that's true.... I can't remember everything that's not a major event, but even with missing parts a DBZ fan should know enough by now, plus I have volume 1-26 of DBZ manga on my shelf....I think I'm good.

I haven't bought a dbz game in years because I thought they were crap, hoping this one will be worth it

You're still missing all of the original Dragon Ball, though, so I think in that sense, that you're a testament to what he's trying to say.

I didn't say I have no knowledge of Dragon Ball... I ain't got money to buy all of Dragon Ball I only own a couple....but I know what he means, and I'm not a testament thanks... But I think if they follow all of Dragon Ball meaning The 42 volume series, they should include things that are necessary, not EVERYTHING... That's just too much..

It wasn't meant as an insult. It's just to say that, yes, people who are big into the series still may not have seen everything there is to see. That's what he was trying to get at and what I was trying to explain.

In an RPG, though, they could well include more or less everything, and then some. That's exactly what they did with Attack of the Saiyans, and heck, I loved it. I could totally go for a sequel, or something in a similar vein that spans the entire series.

In a fighting game, just including the major fights is good enough, considering the character roster almost certainly wouldn't be big enough to fit all of the random henchmen. You might be able to manage in a beat-em-up ala the Wii game, though.

Attack of the Saiyans, the DS game? Forgot all about it, yeah that game was really good, would also like to see more of that. The last DBZ game for DS was Ultimate Butoden, which was okay... I suppose, it was missing some things but it was okay. If there was a good DBZ rpg, I'd want it to play out like Attack of the Saiyans with the Super and Ultimate Attacks looking top notch, full 3D environments in a vast world, with plenty of side stories or something, so we're not just playing through the story.
