Small tiny update from me.

Still need to do some volume adjustments on some files, then I'll keep adding more sounds and music.

Also, sorry about the lag. I really need to reformat my computer, geez...

P.S.: All of this is possible thanks to this great tool. Give 'em some love. :P

I've actually revamped the sound of the game myself. Once i built my new computer though i lost all my mods except a few i uploaded. I don't play DBO anymore though so no big deal. Way back in the day, I was the one who figured out sound modding. You really don't need the resource tool because all the sounds are accessible through dragon unpacker. I made a tutorial for it if any of you guys want to do it: http://dbocom.com/forum/showthread.p...288#post172288

However, i have to say very good job Kiego. My sounds were never that good. Keep up the good work. If you know any good software developers you can make a patch like the language patcher to make the game sound better.

Yes, I'm aware it was already possible, but it was too much of a hassle for me to bother with it at the time (*cough*hexeditor*cough*). Not to mention I wasn't that motivated to do it, back then.

I've actually been wanting to make a DBO sound/music mod for a long time, and now that it's possible (well, more easily done) for me, I also plan on doing more skill edits, voices, etc. I've had most of these ripped sounds ready, stored up in folders for whenever I needed to use them in one of my videos, so it's nice that I found another use for them. They're mostly taken from other games, DBZ console ones, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, etc. Though I will also be extracting voices and sfx from the actual Dragon Ball anime/movies, without background noise or music attached.

The only problem is how we're going to release this mod, as we're probably going to have to split a .rar file by parts with all the sound .pak files inside (1.2GB total, as the original sound paks stand right now) and upload them. But that's only if we can't find another alternative.

Nope, you can't do that. The mods will break the game in a few patches and will be completely unusable. Either update all the resources and have the players download them and manually add them, or do what i said and get a software developer to help you.

What the current English patch does, is it overwrites parts of the lang0. This way, you still have the latest lang0 but the parts you want changed, are. This is what you have to do with the sound mod. You need it all the new sounds to be able to be constantly added to the newest most recent sound paks every update. For the first few updates, the sound files will still work. Once an update comes that changes a few things though, the mod will completely break.

I know. We would have to repatch every file with each update and reupload the mod, and we all know that's bull. :|

I was actually just talking about that with a friend. You're right, that's probably what we're going to try doing. Thanks. :)
