I think they are added automatically when you level up..

U automatically get str, def, dex, con, and eng, when u level up but it also depends on what race and class u are because some of them have that stuff connected to there skill tree that u can use stat points on

Only way to really fine tune your stats is with your gear set. They come default with stats and can also be upgraded and properties changed (Funny, Honest, Strange, etc.) check here for upgrade guide http://www.dbocom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6357 thats the only way i know how to custom tailor/boost any stats
