What exactly increases when you level up Kaioken? The skill calculator doesn't say. Is it worth leveling it up or should I spend the points elsewhere?

As always, threads that lead to an explanation of Kaio-ken are always a disappointment when the amount of lp/ep drained per rank, and application (x1,x2,x3,x4 and so on) are missing, which is usually what everyone wants to know, and as that thread misinforms people, the amount drained does decrease with more ranks, even if it is only a small amount.
